Don't Cry is the first part of the trilogy. This video is one of the best GNR has ever done. You can't tell what's really happening so it keeps you guessing. The first scene shows a baby focusing mainly in his eye, where we can see a black bird flying away and Axl coming, frozen, with a gun in his hand. Then Axl appears in a house, holding the same gun, looking hopeless when a woman (Stephanie Seymour) tries to take the gun away from him, and they have a physical quarrel. But she finally keeps the gun, then the scene changes to a cementery where Axl and Stephanie are having a picnic, he looks thoughtful, like not wanting to be there at all. Then the scene changes again, showing Axl drowning while Stephanie grabs his legs, pulling him down, while she looks peaceful, he is the one who can't breath.

We are suddenly in a piano bar, Axl is playing the piano and flittering with a blondie when Stephanie comes in, and she suddenly is so angry that she starts throwing things to the girl and beating her. Meanwhile we can see the band playing live at the top of a building right in L.A with an excellent view of the city. Shannon Hoon sings along with Axl and a sign reads, where's Izzy? Then Slash and Duff have both serious arguments with their women, one of them throws a bottle at Duff and the other shouts at Slash in a high speed mountain ride which ends with a crash and burn.

Now we are inside a kind of hospital where three Axls appear, one looking relaxed over a bed, the other saying "Peace". Now the scene takes us underground where a green Axl recognizes the ray of light coming from the outside world, feeling good about the heat he cannot feel in that cold undergrave world.

Finally Axl in a bed with a therapist beside him trying to calm him down, Axl gets out of a car, wearing black glasses, he stands there in his own grave which reads 1990 as the year of death as it was this year when Axl's life seemed to give a turn...the green Axl looks up, a bird flies, a baby comes out from water. Very surreal....
